it was a bitter-sweet ending... so long losties...

me and the hubs started watching this show when the little dude jack (and our jack is not named after the shows main character... we also have a son named ben... i swear it's just coincidence!) was about 2 months old... we spent an entire weekend watching season 1, ordering in take out, curled up on the couch, while jack slept in a moses basket at our feet... it was awesome... and now after 6 seasons of pure up and down, emotional craziness... it's all over... and you know what... i am truly happy with the ending... the show went back to it's roots... back to season 1... and it was awesome...

i knew alot of questions wouldn't be answered, but thats the beauty of the island... it was and still is this enigma... but i loved the final moments... hurley and ben partnering up on the island, locke walking into the church... but especially those last moments when jack got closure with his dad... it was a beautiful thing...
and by the way, i bawled when charlie, claire and aaron reunited... but as i promised myself when i started writing this post i won't dive deep into "lost" mode... so i'll just get onto the cake...

so here it is... my ode' to lost cake... its topped with a few of the shows monumental elements... they look a little cartoon-ish... but i love it...

here's the beach, the hatch and of course, the dharma bus...
here's smokie and widmore's submarine...
and here's some more views of the island...

so long losties... and happy baking everyone!

  1. Very cool cake. I don't watch TV so I've never really seen the program.
